It was early last year so neither of us were able to go for an inspection visit due to work commitments, so all of our contacts with blue bay properties were done over the phone and via email. We purchased off plan and couldn't believe the price.
We sent our money via our bank, and we were told by Blue Bay very quickly that the money had arrived safely, this of course was the scary thing for us , sending money to a company in turkey when we had never even been out there, but at least my sister had.

Having enjoyed many European and world wide holidays over a number of years, I decided the time was right to look into the possibility of purchasing a property overseas.
During the more recent years I visited several countries for the prime purpose of deciding where to spend my future holidays on a regular basis. Of all such visits I concluded that because of the genuine friendliness and hospitality of its people, combined with its history,lovely scenery and ideal climate, the Aegean Coast of SW Turkey was the place for me.
Having decided where I would like to invest in my second home, the next step to be taken was to find properties suitable to all my needs including location, space and not least cost.
In January of this year ( 2006 ) during my search on the internet, I came across details of some developments under construction in Altinkum, Didim, Turkey by a company in the name of Blue Bay Properties.
Because this was my first experience into looking towards buying a property abroad, I was very aprehensive into what may lay ahead should I decide to proceed. Having reached this stage however, I decided to contact Blue Bay Properties requesting detailed information regarding the procedures for purchase, not least the legal implications.
Within days of my initial enquiry and a list of questions, I received a long e mail message from the companies Marketing Manager Isa Eker, with full and detailed answers to all my questions and inviting me to get in touch if I required any further information. Most importantly to me there was absolutely no pressure placed upon me to proceed with a purchase.
On request I was sent detailed layout plans of the various apartments within my favoured development, together with a price list. Within a few days of receiving all the information I had requested I made a decision to proceed with the off plan purchase of a duplex unit within their Blue Bay Garden Development.
Having agreed the purchase of my apartment in January, I looked forward to visiting Turkey as soon as possible- namely in May, when I would be given the first opportunity to see the result of my decission first hand and to deal with all the associated legal and other administration processes.
During the interim period from January until the time of my visit in May, I was kept fully informed of the development progress by Ron Brown, Blue Bay Properties very friendly and efficient Overseas Sales Manager. Ron is English but enjoys living and working in Turkey.
Rons regular updates were sent to me by e mail and included photographs showing progress on the development at the various stages of construction. His information was so well detailed that I was well aware of progress as I would have been had I been living locally.
When the time of my visit to Altinkum eventually arrived and after a good nights sleep in my hotel, I made my way via a short walk along the beautiful sea front promenade to the very impressive offices of Blue Bay Properties. The welcome I received was first class and I was made to feel very relaxed by everyone there including the Proprietor Mr Burak Yalçin, Isa and Ron.
From that point on I was given every possible assistance in dealing with the outstanding issues. Ron kindly and cheerfully took on the role as my private free of charge chauffeur for the duration of my 7 day visit during which time we made inspection visits to the development together with tours of the area, the latter making me feel more and more at home as the week went by.
Following my visit in May my parents went along in June and received the same welcome and assistance from Blue Bay Properties. During theire visit Isa became their guide and chauffeur and joined them on visits to furniture shops etc, were he took on the additional role of interpreter during the selection and purchase of some furniture. Like Ron absolutely nothing was too much for Isa.
I have been so highly satisfied with the professionalism and friendliness of the team that I have subsequently purchased a second apartment from them in the same development. It goes without saying that I would not hesitate in recommending them to anyone interested in purchasing a property in Turkey.

Having researched many comnpanies before arriving in Altinkum i eventually decided to look at various properties with Blue Bay.
